Focusing more and more on UX, Google’s current mission is to find new ways of spotting the difference between good and bad websites.
In 2021, Google is planning to roll out the Page Experience algorithm update.
Says Google:
The page experience signal measures aspects of how users perceive the experience of interacting with a web page. Optimizing for these factors makes the web more delightful for users across all web browsers and surfaces, and helps sites evolve towards user expectations on mobile. We believe this will contribute to business success on the web as users grow more engaged and can transact with less friction.
Ultimately, the purpose of this update is to ensure that user-friendly websites rank higher than those that arent- in essence the user experience is there next biggy!
From Core Web Vitals, Mobile-friendliness, to Safe browsing, HTTPS and Intrusive interstitial content; Google will be assessing websites that provide an optimum user experience for their users.
