About Seedcorn
For startups and businesses in their infancy, the Seedcorn Investor Readiness Competition is your gateway to becoming ‘investor-ready’. Echoing the real-world investment experience, the Seedcorn contest offers a chance to clinch a portion of a €300,000 cash prize while receiving expert critique on your business blueprint and presentations, enhancing your readiness for investors, and heightening your company’s exposure to potential investors—all contributing to a heightened company profile.
Eligibility Criteria
This competition welcomes:
- Independent entities established in either Ireland or Northern Ireland, specifically in the seed, startup, or early business stages, ideally with a vision for international markets.
- Individuals or teams who have conceived, manage, and hold ownership of such enterprises.
- Founders and entrepreneurs who have been instrumental in the venture’s inception, continue to play significant roles in management, and possess substantial equity stakes.
However, ventures that have secured over €1m in external equity funding (or its sterling equivalent) are ineligible.
Our panel of judges will be on the lookout for ventures that exemplify:
- Potential for significant growth
- An optimal balance of risk and reward
- A robust management team
